How does art & pix work?
art & pix offers high quality royalty free images which can be purchased by PayPal or 2Checkout (via credit card). You can buy and download pictures, which are in the best quality, graphic design and resolution at the a most affordable rates. You can signup for a free membership, where you can use cool features like the lightbox, there you can save the pictures you want to purchase and checkout later. Or you can signup for a free photographer account and get 50% comission on every sale.

What means a royalty free image?
Royalty free products may be used by you multiple times for multiple projects without incurring additional fees. Royalty free pricing is based solely on the file size of the product you need and the number of people entitled to use it (maximum 10), not the specific use. You don't have to pay any additional royalties on a use-by-use basis. However, as with all art & pix licenses, the rights granted are non-transferable and are personal to you.

Is art & pix free to join?
YES, art & pix is free to join for members as well as for photographers. You can get your free photographers account here, for your free members account please sign-up here.

How do I close my account?
Please go to the "Contact Us" page and write us a short notice that you want to close your account.

Do you add photos on a regular basis?
YES. We add photos on a regular base. Click on "Newest Photos" to see the latest photos that have been posted.

Do you offer refunds?
Once your purchase is made we can not offer a refund. The reason for this policy is that we offer full access to our entire digital collection of photos and, there is no way for our products to be returned. On a rare occasion we will make exceptions on a case by case basis.

Are there any restrictions on my use of the art & pix photos that I download?
YES. While art & pix offers great freedoms and a wide ranges of uses, we do not allow the redistribution of our photos.

Is account sharing allowed?
NO, sharing an account is no different than distributing our materials to others. Individual accounts must be created by your friends and colleagues.

What should I do if I forget my password or login name?
If you cannot remember your password you can enter your login name and click on the forgot password link. When you click on this link we will send you an email with your password. You can also write a message to Customer Support, on the Contact Us page.

May I use a differnt name or alias on art & pix?
Personal information provided on art & pix must be accurate otherwise you could be subject to account termination and legal action. However, you may select an alias on the "My Profile" page of your art & pix account. The alias will be used instead of your normal name for public display.

How do I search for images?
There are three easy methods to search for images on art & pix.
1. Enter a keyword(s) in the search box and click on the GO button.
2. Select a category or gallery search link below the search box.
3. Click on the top tags on the homepage.
Each search option should display a number of images for you to choose from.

Why should I signup for a free membership?
You can sign up for a free membership to use cool features like the lightbox. There you can save the pictures you like and come back some other time to checkout.

Is it possible to purchase pictures without a membership?
Yes, you can also purchase images without signing up for beeing a member. But you miss out on the cool features like the lightbox e.g.

How do I buy images?
When you want to purchase a picture, please choose the size you need and click on the "Add to Cart" button. If you want, you can add more pictures to your cart. When you want to check out, you have two options: You can either purchase the images through PayPal or through 2Checkout via credit card. The system will lead you through the purchasing process, and after you purchased the image, you get back to art & pix and you will see the image to download right away.

Does a picture really cost only a few dollars?
art & pix offers the lowest-priced, legal royalty free images. Prices are displayed for each photo and license on the photo details page. Prices are displayed, there are no additional fees.

Am I required to add copyright information when I use a photo from art & pix?
No, it is not required to add the copyright information to your website or document when you use a art & pix photo, however it is always appreciated. The only time we require copyright information to be added is when the image is being used in conjunction with editorial use such as a newspaper or magazine story.

This information may be put on the photo itself or on a special page. The copyright is displayed during the download of an image.
Please note: Local laws may require, copyright information in some circumstance please check your local law to be sure.

First of all it's free to sell your pictures on art & pix and you can also get a comission of 50% or more on eyery sale.

How do I become an art & pix photographer?
Everyone can become an art & pix photographer. If you have great images (JPG) then you may create a photographer account and upload images by clicking on one of the upload options. It's important to enter information such as keywords and title, so your photos can be found later through the keyword-search. The pictures are then sent to our art & pix editors, who will review them and notify you if they have been accepted.

How much comission do I get, when I sell my pictures on art & pix?
Photographers who sell their images through art & pix will be paid a commission of 50%. When a photographer sells more than 250 pictures, the comission raises to 60%. Right now every photographer starts with selling a picture in the large (original) size for $ 7.00. There are also two other images sizes, which get generated automatically: Medium size for $ 6.00 and the small size for $5.00.

How do I edit my sales price?
As we want to sell stock photography at the most affordable prices, you can't change the prices for your pictures.

How do I get paid?
As a photographer, you get paid monthly. We will contact you via email to send us your paypal email-address to pay you.

Is there a fee to upload photos?
Uploading images is completely free. art & pix only takes a commission on images that are sold.

How does it take for my approved images to be online?
Please allow up to 48 hours for approved images to be added to our searchable index.

Can I submit images of people, trademarks or protected goods?
YES, you may submit images of people, trademarks, and protected items if you attach a signed model or property release with your image. Please upload your picture and send the property release to info@artandpix.com
art & pix offers a model release and property release under Privacy Policy and provides information about intellectual property there.

Do my pictures of people require a model release?
YES all pictures of recognizable people will require you to submit a signed model release. If the model is under 18 then a parent must sign the model release. A model release can be found in the Privacy Policy.

Do I need a model release if the photo is a self portrait?
YES, even if the photo is a self portrait you need to provide a signed model release for us to keep on record.

How do I sell my images?
Please log into your account. You see the "Add Photos" option: All the images get uploaded together and will have the same keywords, title, and description. Unless your images have IPTC data or you just upload one picture at a time.
Or you can use the "Batch Upload Photos" option: You need to click on "Browse" and select all the files from your database. Then hit "Upload", a message will be displayed when the upload is done. Then go up to the top navigation (in the Photographers Area) and click on "Import Photos". You can see how many files are waiting here to be uploaded. Please enter the required information and all the photos from the "Batch Upload" are then uploaded to the art & pix website. Somebody from our Support team will approve them.

Why was my photo rejected?
art & pix receives a lot of photos to be reviewed every day and we are not able to accept every photo, some images must be declined. Often images are declined for technical reasons such as noise, and exposure. Images may also be declined because the images do not meet our current needs or our editors feel the images may not be marketable.

How are my images being used?
While it is impossible for us to know exactly how your images are being used by our buyers however it is strictly forbidden for you to contact them.
